Keisuke Ishihara, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computational and Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research focuses on the physical principles of tissue self-organization, specifically developing innovative imaging, genetic, and theoretical technologies to engineer the shape and function of brain and cardiac organoids. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, he conducted multidisciplinary research as an ELBE postdoctoral fellow across the Max Planck Institutes in Dresden and the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology in Vienna. He holds a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from Harvard University and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. Click here for more information on his research.
